Since opening Austin’s in 1978, the business functions and menu have varied very little since its creation! Our menu options include: our own delicious brand of Austin’s hot dogs, our famous Austin’s Chili Sauce, Fresh-Cut Fries, Premium Ice Cream, and Texas Macaroni. Stop by and give us a try!

What can I say?, I’m an award winning chef, and I absolutely love it, to me, this is “Home” with great food, super fun atmosphere, a great hometown feel and An Owner who is spectacular, This place is fun and absolutely one of this chef’s favorites!!!!It’s so funny, the food is so good Here, We tell everyone When we’re back home Here in Lancaster Pa how good it is up near Altoona and how very special Austin’s Hot Dogs are and that we wish there was one on as many corners as there are Sheetz, Wal-Mart, and Starbucks LOL!!!! Every time we enter we receive the friendliest greeting, And it’s so refreshing to see a Business and Owner/ Team that’s so well loved and appreciated by their community as this one is Here in return who is just as happy to arrive as the owner is to see you, For someone as kind and dedicated to consistency and quality as He is, I hope He’s richly blessed and rewarded because as A chef I know how back breaking and hard this work is and how long the days can be on Rough floors with often long endless thankless days It’s always so good to see no matter when you arrive this place is full and the community loves it as much as we do, in fact, every time we stop in and see our family Cousin Carol and Uncle Dave, it isn’t long before one of us says to the other “Who’s up for Austin’s Hot Dogs?!?!?!?!” It’s almost now become a race to see who says it first, It’s a very special part of our return trips home for good food, fun, family that’s become tradition for us…. Best hotdogs around!!!! Im from Michigan & have family in Altoona & Bellwood & the first place we go to after driving 7 hours is here!!!!!

Very good hot dogs and shakes. Seems like a well run family business. If I lived closer, I would be there all the time. Will be looking forward to a motorcycle trip up north when the weather gets better for another stop.

Austin's Texas Hotdogs are why we drive over an hour and a half to eat here!One word, YUM! Eating here will take you back to simpler days of walking DelGrosso’s Amusement Park, enjoying the sunshine, and reminiscing about how people used to be kind to one another, smile, and have fun.

Hot dogs were tough and did not taste the same as they usually do.We always like to stop when we are in the area.
